Honor Morahan, but the parish was blackwater and ferns, wexford I have found two children, but cannot find out what his birth date was and where exactly he came from, also I know his father was called Owen but have no other information of my him or my g.g.g.grandmother, and his siblings. I know he remarried in 1889 to a Anne Torsney and I know of their children, but I again do not know what happened to him after the year 1914.. Thanking anyone for any help.

Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Have you tried searching Family Search for a record of Thomas? birth/baptism? This is a huge database of genealogical records that has been compiled by the Church of the Latter Day Saints. You may be lucky and find him here.
Roots Ireland also have a very large collection of Church records available-however you have to pay to see these. Here is their website:
Have you already looked at Griffith?s Valuation? This is a property valuation survey that was carried out in Ireland 1848-1864. I found an Owen Moraghan in the civil parish of Tumna, Co. Roscommon (1858). Could this be Thomas? father? Here is a link to the results:
If you think this may be Thomas? father the parish of Tumna may be a place to start your search for Thomas? birth records. For some general information on the parish follow this link:
Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what re cords are available in specific parishes. For Tunma/Cootehall parish follow this link:
For Church of Ireland records check: http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/.

The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx

I hope that this is helpful. Remember to post any new information you find, either here or on the relevant parish page. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Kind regards,
