Hi Everyone. I am looking for some help with my ancestor. James Thomas Carbery b:abt 1851 Wexford Ireland. I am trying to find the Parish to hopefully find some additional information on him and his family. The only details I have are:
Name: James Thomas Carbery
Birth: 1849/51 Wexford Ireland
Marriage: 1883 Melbourne Australia to Margaret Pender?
Death: 1923 Melbourne Australia
I hope that by locating the Parish he was born in might lead me to further information such as: Did he have any siblings? is his mother's maiden name confirmed as Pender? Any siblings might also help me work out when he went to Australia.
Any help is appreciated. :)

Joanne:
The names was likely Carberry in Ireland. I looked at the 1853 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Wexford and there were 28 Carberry entries. The name was found in a number of parishes. Without the James Thomas' father's name, it would be difficult to narrow down the possible parishes.
I also looked at Roots Ireland for a James Carbery baptism from 1845-1855 and they did not have any records.

These are the 3 Thomas Carberry entries I found in Griffiths from 1853. Assuming Thomas was alive and leasing land, he would likely be one of the three below. The Griffiths does not have any other family names. You can go on www.askaboutireland.ie and view the actual amount of land that each of these men had. There were 45 Penders in the Griffiths for Co. Wexford. None lived in the same parishes as the three Carberrys. However, Margaret may have come from one parish over from the Carberrys.
