I am searching for James and Mary OWENS nee BLAYNEY. They were married in 1828 at Glenealy Church on Ireland.

I have found they had 3 sons: George Francis Charles born c1843. William Henry John born c1840 (both came to New Zealand c 1836 & died there) Frederick James went on to be a the first vicar of StJames Church, Chorley, Lancashire. He died c1857.

There were possibly 4 daughters: Fanny, Mary, Martha and Emily E H. (born c1814)

James died 19 June 1847 and Mary on 16 May 1891.

Any help would be appriciated, especially of the daughters and parents.

Regards

    Welcome to ireland Reaching Out!

Can you review your dates in your message? You have the parents married in 1828 but you mention that Emily was born in 1814. Also, you indicate that George was born in 1843 and William in 1840 but you then said that they went to New Zealand in 1836.

Once you get back to me, I will check Roots Ireland which has baptismal records for Glenealy C of I back to 1815.

    Thanks!

  • Good morning Roger.

My mistake. george and William came to New Zealand in 1863  Sorry That would have been confusing.

I have been trying to find the Townland they came from but am not having much luck.
