I found four John Bookeys' born in County Wicklow - 1875, 1878, 1886 and 1889. You could search the www.FamilySearch.org website. Search under: Ireland, Civil Registration Indexes 1845-1958. The five Registration Districts connected with Co Wicklow were: Baltinglass, Naas, Rathdown, Rathdrum and Shillelagh. Note that some of these districts would have crossed over into neighbouring counties. In olden times in Ireland it's likely that "Jack" wasn't a 'real' name - it was usually a ‘pet’ name for John. Searching for Jack Bookey in the Indexes produces Nil results, but produces results for John Bookey. Have you any idea of your Jack's date of birth? Can you look at headstones or cemetery records, memorial cards, etc? Look him up in the US censuses? Find out where he died and search in that locality's civil death records etc. Look for Obituaries in local papers etc
