  • Hello,

You have hit the jackpot.  Yes we are related and have a family tree

on Geni.com .. If you send me your e mail I will send an invite to

the tree and you will find most of the people in your family already entered.

My great grandfather was Richard OHora of Lack married to Mary Nealon

His daughter Ellen was my grandmother . Ellen was married to Fred Gibbons and they

raised their family in Parke .. Ellen died in Aug 1956 and Fred June 24 1964 ..

My mother was Mary Anne Gibbons-Murphy who emigrated in 1920 ..

To further substantiate my authenticity I am on line with Thomas OHora

in Castlebar and he can vouch for me  ..

You will be amazed at the tree.  Many Mc Hales from Partry have joined in

the last year .. Children of Tommy McHale and Mary Gibbons ..

Hope to hear from you ...

  • Hi Mike,

Yes, I did not recognize your e mail "gortonboy" ..

...A few Mc Hales in Partry have joined Geni over the past year .

Not too much activity with them but nice they joined.

As long as we have reconnected, I did try and reach you a few times  over the past year. On Geni we have had a policy of not connecting to Facebook to protect the many small children on there .. I noticed you did make the connect, between Geni and FB, when I started to see some of my grandmother's  pictures appearing on my FB page and did some research on Geni  ..

Would appreciate you removing the FB connection as we really don't want our information to be just taken from Geni and placed on FB .. Kind of scary ..

Yes, nice Christmas, thank you, and may I wish you and your family a Healthy Happy 2014 ..

  • Hello, I am trying to find my 2n dgreat grandparents- James Moran and Sarah Jane McHale. They moved from Ireland in the mid 1860s. I don't know if they married in Dunmore PA or in Ireland so have been searching Irish records as well.

On January 20, 1964 there is a James Moran marrying a Mary McHale in Turlough - I have just seen the index not the record - wondering if this is possible hit. James J Moran was born about 1843 his father was John and his mother was Bridget (Brogan or Coyne), James had at least two siblings, Bridget and Patrick. Any help resolving would be great. Thanks
