I am seeking information about William Morgan, born about 1800 died and left a will in Cavanagrow 1886, with daughters Sarah, Eliza, Margaret, and sons Joseph and William. He leased land in various parts of Kilclooney, including land in Glasdrummond that he subleased to James Kerr or Carr, perhaps a brother in law as James was married to Mary Jane Morgan, born about 1807.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you!

Have you already tried using Ancestry.com or other databases to find out more about William? RC parish records for that parish do not begin until 1820 for baptisms and 1844 for marriages. CoI records begin in 1832 for baptisms and 1835 for marriages.

There is no record of a William Morgan in the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1832). If you wanted to follow up on the land information you have you could contact the Valuation Office. There you will be able to trace the land tenure from the time of Griffith's Valuation up to the 1970s and 1980s.
    Valuation Office: http://www.valoff.ie/en/Archives_Genealogy_Public_Office/

This might be the best way to learn about the family as parish records do not begin early enough.

Griffith's Valuation is available here: http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNam…

Let us know if you learn anything new

    Best wishes
