I am searching for my great great grandparents George Crawford Holmes and Anne Lefroy Courtenay whose marriage banns were issued in Dublin in 1827 and who had children born throughout Antrim and Tipperary up to 1854. Anne was a daughter of Sarah Lefroy and Capt Thomas Courtenay. I would love to hear from anyone living in Ireland who may be part of this family. Two unmarried children of George and Anne were still living in Broomhill in 1901. They were Anthony Lefroy Holmes and Lucy Jane Holmes.

The name Capt Thomas Courtenay has caught me eye. Have you tried checking military records for him? Perhaps you could start your research in the UK National Archives. Was he from Antrim or Tipperary? There might be records kept locally in a library or museum.
You should also look for a marriage record for George and Anne. Do you know what religion they were? Or what part of Dublin they were in?
