My gggg-grandfather Patrick Skerry appears to have been born in Ballyhale (or environs), Knocktopher, abt 1771. He emigrated to Canada where he married Margaret Hawbolt (originally Happold). They had several children, including:
Michael (birth unknown)
Elizabeth (b abt 1803)
John D (1805-1880)
Margaret L (Mary) (1808-1899)
Ann (b abt 1816)
I have considerable documentation of some of these children.
Patrick died in Halifax, Nova Scotia, 23 Apr 1850. Due to context and other factors he appears to be a sibling or close relation of children understood to be the children of a Keran Skerry and Mary Walsh of Ballyhale vicinity. These children include:
John Skerry (1786-1858)
William Skerry (1790-1853)
Eleanor Skerry (1799-1834)
All of these children listed had also emigrated to Nova Scotia. There is considerable documentation about all of these children and many descendants - but I have not found any proof of relationships to Patrick Skerry.

Patrick Skerry/Margaret Hawboldt are also my gggg-grandparents. Their daughter Elizabeth married William Larder September 21, 1821 in Sherbrooke (now New Ross) Nova Scotia. Their son John William Larder married Elizabeth Massey (nee Eisenhauer), their daughter, Olivia Louise married Wilkins McCallum, Wilkins and Olivia's daughter Hilda is my mother. I have been in touch with two others researching this family including Claudia Skerry Cridland who has written a book on Patrick and his descendants which I recently acquired. I too have the information that Keran (1744 - 1853) was supposedly Patrick's father but have no other information on Keran. Claudia and the other researcher and I have been unable to confirm that Keran is indeed Patrick's father. Supposedly Keran's location was Ossory, Ballyhall, Knocktopher. Keran's father was perhaps a Luke Skerry (1730 - ?).

My 7th great grandfather was Luke Skerry he was born in 1730 in Baile Heil Kilkenny. I don't know if he is any relation or not. I don't have alot of information except for his wife and their son. If you would be able to help me out with anything please send me an email here lgtm19862017@gmail.com
