Good Morning:

My name is Gretchen Metz, nee Rabbitt, and I have traced my ggrandfather James Rabbitt to the Clonbrock Demesne, which I understand is in the Fohenagh parish.  I have found records for several of my grandfather's siblings who were born and christened at "Clonbrock".  I was wondering if you could check the records for me and see if you can find any of their records.  My grandfather Thomas Rabbitt went by the last name of Conheeny while in Ireland, he and his siblings changed it to Rabbitt when they came to the USA.  My ggrandfather's name was James Conheeny and his wife's name was Honor or Honora Dillon.  The names of their children who were born and baptised in Clonbrock are as follows:

    1.  Julia, 2. Bridget, 3. William, and my grandfather whose father's name is given as Martin Conheeny, there is some confusion here, as on my father's wedding certificate he lists his father's name as James??? and his mother is listed as Honor.

I will be coming to Ireland in May of this year and I am planning on coming to your area to see where my family lived and was baptised.  I would love to meet you and also would love a recommendation for a nice B&B where I can stay while there.

Sincerely,

Gretchen Metz
