I have traced the Joseph Liggett family to the Flax Rolls of 1796, in Tyrone.   Joseph and his descendents  farmed in Keady townland and then at Mullycarnon.  They were  strong supporters of Minterburn Presbyterian Church.  There is some evidence that other brothers, Robert and James, leased land in Killyfaddy, on the Cairns estate  before 1800.  Robert is the patriarch of the "Clogher" Liggett line.  I would like to learn more about the pre-1800 Liggetts in Tyrone, and their origin.
