I'll admit first of all that I am a genealogist for a living but I do try to assist people on sites like this and do have a connection with Sligo.

Hi daisymae - yes certainly some more information would help. I do find a person of that name living in Buffalo, New York and without the 'P' in Albany, NY on 1930 census arriving 1886 and 1890 respectively. Would either of those be him?
