Hi

Can you seek a birth/Baptismal record for Mary Bourke born on 28 Feb 1831 in Murroe parish.

  • parents are John Bourke and Bridget Keily

 

Also looking for a Marrage record for Maurice Bourke and Catherine Keily. I suspect Maurice and John Bourke are brothers and Bridget and Catherine Keily are sisters.

  • No Baptismal record for mary Bourke 1831 in Murroe Records.

    Also no marriage record for Maurice and Catherine Kiely.Although if you suspect they are sisters it is possible that they may have been married in St Johns PArish.

    I had a look in the records  and there is a Maurice Bourke having Children from 1834-1852 He is married to a Catherine/Kitty Bourke not Kiely?

    There is no marriage record for for this marriage either .

  • Yes, Maurice Bourke married to Kitty Bourke (Keily). Thats him!

    Can you tell me who their children are from 1834 -1852.

     

    Also, can you look at Margerat Bourke bapt/ Birth 22 march 1838. Maurice and Kitty are listed as sponsors

  • Yes i can confirm that Maurice and Kitty Bourke are sponsors to Margaret B 1838

    Well Maurice and Kitty Burke had 8 Children 

    Mary  27 Jan 1834

    Bidella-07 June 1836

    James 13 Feb 1839

    John- 30 May 1841

    Mgt- 25 Feb 1844

    Richard -01 Mar 1846

    Norry -11 Apr 1849

    Edmund -07 Nov 1851

     

    The strange thing about this is that in the Murroe Baptismal records ,the Mothers name is normally written down as her maiden name and this case it is  Burke not Keily in all of her childrens records.Which does suggest that her maiden name was Burke and not Keily ????
