John Fitzgibbon married Hanora Barry in 1824 and moved to Ballyhahil in the parish of Cloncagh. During the famine his family left, a few at a time, for New York and Pennsylvania. He left in 1850 with his daughter Hanora and settled in Scranton, PA USA. A son lived in Duchess County New York, and the family dispersed to St. Paul, Minnesota over time. Hanora (the daughter) Fitzgibbon (b. 1837 in County Limerick) married Patrick Eagan, of County Laoise, in 1855 -- she evidently met Patrick in Scranton PA. Their daughter Hanora Egan (the third Hanora!) married Archie McDonnell of Wisconsin. Most of the family is traceable to Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York state, and Washington state through WWI.
