Hello there,
I'm looking for some information on my Grandfather Timothy Martin Nevin (born we think in 1917)
He was raised in Tynagh, but married and settled in England (Ellesmere Port).
My Grandmother (Tim's wife) doesn't know anything about his family, other than she thinks she remembers sibilings called Molly, Tommy & Patrick but that's literally all we know about his life in Ireland.
If anyone knows any information about Tim's family that would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Lisa Nevin

Hello Brigid,
Thank you very much for getting in touch, I must say this was quite a surprise as I didn't realise anyone was in touch with any of Tim's relatives! I'll show your message to Philip (Dad) later as he will love to hear all about this, then I'll drop you an email to your personal account as it would be great to corespond.

Hi Brigid,
I'm Therese Cunningham, an Administrator for Tynagh Parish with IrelandXO.
I have verified that your grandfather Timothy Martin Nevin was born on 8/11/1916, according to the Tynagh Parish Baptismal Records. As you already know, his parents were Timothy Nevin and Brigid Leahy. I can give you details of the daughter of Timothy's brother, Patrick, with whom I am friendly. She is Mrs Nora Finnerty,Clonlee, Duniry, Kylebrack, Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland. Tel. No: 353-(0)90 9745007.
The best of luck.
Regards
Therese

Hi Therese,
Thank you very much for your message. Would I be right in saying that if he was Bapitised in Tynagh he was also born in Tynagh?
I managed to find Tim's parents, Tim & Brigid on a 1911 Census living in Belfast, but as Brigid pointed out they moved back to Tynagh around that time so that's why I presume Tim was born in Tynagh.
Many thanks again, its been great to find out all this information.
