1797 december 2nd abstract is as follows meade thomas to ankettle 501 498 332 813 memorial of indented deed of settlement dated 2 december 1797 between john meade thomas of the city of limerick esq of the one part mary ankettle of the city of dublin spinster of the 2nd part john roche of william street in the city of dublin esq of the 3rd part reciting that a marraige is intended shortly to be had been john meade thomas (his second marraige as his first wife was mary anne roche) and mary ankettle and that in consideration of the said marraige and of one thousand pounds being the fortune of said mary ankettle to said john meade thomas paid by said john roche he the said john meade thomas did.....agree..... that if mary ankettle should survive him the said john meade thomas the exors of the said john meade thomas shall pay to mary ankettle or her assigns the principle sum of two thousand pounds further reciting that said john meade thomas as a member of a certain society called the friendly annuity society in the county of the city of limerick is entitled to dispose of the yearly sum of forty pounds payable by half yearly instalments by said company during the life of his wife in case she shall survive him and said john meade thomas as member of another society called the universal annuity society can dispose of ....in like manner.... witnesses philip long of the city of dublin esq and walter prendergast of the said city attorney

1800 december 10th registry of deeds office dublin (1800-1809) meade john and wife to roche 527 401 352466 memorial of an indenture deed of three parts bearing date 10 december 1800 and made between john meade of the city of limerick .....of the 1st part   mary meade formerly mary ankettle spinster wife of said john meade of the 2nd part john roche of the city of dublin of the 3rd part reciting certain articles executed previous to and in consideration of a marraige which afterwards took place between john meade and mary his wife in these marraige articles no provision was made for the issue of the said john meade and the said mary   john meade therefore in order to remedy this omission and for five shillings to him paid by the said john roche did covenant with said john roche that if john meade shall be leaving any child or children by said mary his present wife the executors of said john meade shall within six months after his death pay to john roche his executors or assigns the clear sum of four thousands with interest from the time of his death of the said john meade upon trust that the said four thousand pounds be used as follows if there should be one child by the said mary the said john meades present wife such child to ha the whole sum in whatever way said john meade should by deed or will direct and appoint   if there should be two or more children sons or daughters then the four thousand pounds should be dispensed among them as said john meade should directo   if no such direction by made the four thousand pounds to be equally divided among the children the portion of a son or sons to be paid at the age of 21 year.... the portion of a daughter or daughters at the age of 21 years or date of marraige

1849 november 16th death middlesex of major roche meade deputy assistant adjutant general of horse guards in london  r h a r g o and horseguard major roche meade left a third of his estate to his next of kin one of who is described as catherine fitzmaurice widow catherine street limerick   plus a mary anne meade widow of booterstown and stephen meade sol dublin estate adminstered by john chalmers of london and stephen meade solicitor of dublin estate amount £3,000;00;00   kate fitmaurice appears to be handling her brothers late estate as an amount sent to stephen meade for his expenses in london of five pounds   possibly kathryn fitmaurice
