Hi - I'm looking for information on Helen / Ellen McDonald from Co. Tyrone...born about 1836, possibly in Arboe. She left Ireland around 1872 and settled in New York. Her father was John McDonald and her mother was Mary Townsend.
Any information of this family is really appreciated. I'd love to know where in Co. Tyrone they were from. I believe Helen had a sister Elizabeth who also left Ireland. Thank You.

Do you know much about their emigration? Dates - who they travelled with - port of arrival etc? Have you checked http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/counties/rcmaps/tyronerc.htm for further information about records available for County Tyrone?
