I am looking for my great-great grandfather's family who came from Teasan (sp?) in Co. Sligo. His name was Patrick Tucker born 1831, was married to Mary (pos. Frawley, pos. Burns). Children, Sarah b. 1854, Robert Hugh b. 1859 (my g-grandfather) Margaret b. 1860, James b. 1861 all born in New York. 

Patrick had a sister, Sarah who was born in 1830 in Teasan and she was married to Denis Burns who was born in 1827 in Co. Sligo, but I don't know where. They also had another sister, Catherine, who was born 1837 in Teasan never married and died in NYC in 1858.

  • Hi Judy, have been asked to look at unanswered queries, records for Drumcliff only commence in 1841 so we will not find his baptism unless more ledgers are located if there are any, Tessan is in Drumcliff and here is a map of the civil parishes

    I could find two Patrick Tucker marriages but not to a Frawley or similar, oddly I did find a baptism to a Tucker / Fowley marriages but in the 1830s in the Adjoining parihs of Ahamlish, you can see the parishes here  https://registers.nli.ie/

    Remember the marriage would take place in all liklihood in the brides parish. 

    I did find 4 baptisms 1850 to 1870, 1863 in reality in Drumcliff, for one the mother was Maria Henry and the other 3 mother was Catherine Dunne.
