Looking for information for Mahan; Coulton; McAvoy and Welch

Do you know much about their emigration? Dates, the reason why they left, etc.? Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. Liverpool), this could be a good place to find more information, and perhaps even find out an exact place of origin.

That headstone reading could be Capard, which is in Rosenallis Co Laois.

The are a lot of Mc Evoy's buried in the local graveyard, but the name Andrew does not

feature among them.

Thank you for your response.  As you suggested, I checked the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) and the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64).  I located some Mahans in the Tithe Applotment Books for Queens County but was at a loss as to what to do with the information.

I contacted the Offaly Historical & Archaeological Society and they conducted some research for me but could not locate any of the Mahans, however, they did locate my gg Grandmother Mary McAvoy Mahan and her parents and will be sending me the information.  Hopefully, this will give me some other leads. 

I was able to find an 1860 census in Conneticut for my gg grandparents Michael and Mary McAvoy so I know they were in the US by 1860. 

I cannot confirm that my ggg John Mahan even made it to America but I do know that my ggg grandmother Ellen Coulton Mahan did.

What an interesting, yet frustrating puzzle to solve!

Looking for Information on Mahan

John Mahan born about 1802 married Ellen Coulton born about 1806.

Children's names I have been able to ascertain, all born in Ireland:

Joseph - birth date unknown;

Sarah - born about 1829

Maurice - born about 1832 - (Naturalization papers state "Queen's County")

Elizabeth - born about 1842

Michael John (my gg grandther) - born about 1834.

Michael John's wife was Mary Ann McAvoy, born about 1837, in Queen's County Ireland.  Mary Ann's parents were Andrew McAvoy and Elizabeth Welch.

I checked the Tithe Applotment Books for 1823-37 listed on the National Archieves of Ireland and came across the following Mahan names in Queen's County but do not know how to proceed with this information:
