My ancestor shows up in a town called Topsfield in Massachusetts USA about 1660. The story is that he had been captured by British soldiers at some battle and had been shipped out of Kinsale to the colonies as an indenture to a British Lt. Michael Dwinell/Dunnell/Donal/etc., was born around 1640, when he settled in Topsfield he had a wife named Mary (no last name). At that time in history Kinsale Ireland was a port and prison ships were sent out from there. Of course being what type of ship it was there was no passenger manifest, at least not one that I have been able to find.
That is about all the information I have prior to his having settled in Topsfield, MA, USA. I do hope that someone might recognize the name and be able to give me a place to start from anyway. Thanks for any assistance.
