I'm looking for information on my great grandparents, Michael J. O'Malley (son of John O'Malley and Mary O'halloran) born 1854-1857 and Bridget Prenderghast (daughter of Peter Prenderghast and Mary Connelly) born circa 1862. They immigrated to boston, MAssachusetts by 886 when the first of their 7 children were born. Michael died in Revere, MA when he was 38 years old, leaving Bridget to raise the 7 kids, the youngest of which, Martin was born 3 months after Micheal died. Bridget diedi n 1932. Would appreciate any information of where in Mayo they were from, where they immigrated from, etc. Many Thanks!

These are the Tithe Applotments, 1823-37 I see a Halloran (Holloran) and Malley family living near each other, Halloran in Aughagower village and Malley in Ballinavoy which is 2 miles approx outside the villagehttp://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/results.jsp?surname=holloran&firstname=&county=Mayo&parish=&townland=&search=Search
These may not be your families but you could check the links and see if you find anything else.
O'Malley is a real common name in Mayo.
There are four Cemeteries in Aughagower, 2 older ones at the Church and Tower, and 2 newer ones on the hill.
Here are two listing of the Cemeteries that may help.

Two other searches to bring you up to date are,
Griffiths Valuation (1850's) where you can search the listing and the town of origin

National Archives 1901 & 1911 Censes
