George Truman married whilst a serving soldier in Curragh Camp about 1860.
15th Co.Royal Engineers (Sapper)
A daughter ( Mary Ann Trueman) was born on the 21st march 1861.
Family stories say that the mother, possibly a "Local girl" (name unknown ) died at childbirth or shortly after.
On the 1871 UK census mary was born in Kildare
On the 1881 UK census she was born in Queenstown.
It is fairly certain that George Trueman returned to the UK ( Left the army?)
Since posting this original message, I have stumbled on further possible info on Roots ireland.
