Gratefully received a reply from Geraldine O'Connor about the parish in which Ballynahown, Co Clare is included.
Just wondered though if that were a civil or religious parish and where should I go to access records such as baptism etc.

Killilagh is probably located in the Diocese of Galway, most of the Atlantic Clare coast parishes are located under this Diocese. It would then fall under the Kilfenora area. Try the Lisdoonvarna parish office as they may be able to help you. If you have any trouble, you could also try the Local Studies Centre at the Clare County Library at www.clarecountylibrary.ie. They are very helpful there and they might even have links to what you are looking for.
