Information about Richard Charlemont Archbold and any relative is always good to see.
I'm not sure what you know of him but he died in 1836 as you say and his property 'Clanville' at what is now the Sydney suburb of Roseville was suceeded by his wife Mary Ann Pawley. He was buried in the Devonshire Street Cemetery and Mary was buried alongside. However when Central Railway Station was constructed the bodies where removed and placed in the Archer Street Catholic Cemetery in Chatswood.
The problem here is that there is no longer an Archer Street Cemetery and the records are all but non-existent. Lucklily though there were extensions done to the St Pius X College which is now built on the site of the Archer St Cemetery. There were about half a dozen headstones found. One of them was for Richard and Sarah. Sarah was his daughter. There is no trace of Mary. His remains are still under the college or the carpark alongside.
The college is on the area of the original 600 acre land grant given to Richard Charlemont Archbold before he bought Clanville. He is therefore, in a sense, back home.
