Hi there ..this is a shout-out for any information on my ancestors, Phillip McGrath and Eleanor McManon who lived around Ballylongford area.early 1800s.
Their daughter Mary born in 1809 married Michael Ryan and their child Margaret baptised Ballyline 1842.
Daughter Julia baptised Ballylongford 1829..record says they were from Clouonamon.
Son Michael married at Moyvane 1838.
Eleanor and son Peter came to Canada around 1847 and other siblings followed. They lived near Renfrew, Ontario.
We have no record of Phillip coming to Canada, and would like to find any living relatives in Ireland. Peter would be my Great Grandfather.
Grateful for any help!

McGrath from Ballylongford
A good start might be to check the church records from Ballylongford county Kerry that are available for free from www.irishgenealogy.ie as they have a lot of McGraths listed including your relatives.
From there you can then check the 1901 and 1911 census of Ireland records on http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ I believe that this could bring you a lot closer to finding living relatives.
If you would like any further help please do not hesitate to contact us
Kind regards
