Hi,
Thanks again for your message!
Once again the main sources available are church records and land records. Do you know the religious denomination of the family? If they were Catholic the records will most likely be held locally. Here is the Irishtimes link to see what records are actually available in the parish:
Information on Church of Ireland records can be found at http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/.
You may find Dennis in Griffith's Valuation (1848-1864) you can search this here:
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
You may find one of his parents in the earlier land record called the Tithe Applotment Books, these date from 1823-1838. You can search these here:

Do you know anything else about Dennis' first wife's accident? There is a website that keeps archives of Irish newspapers, some of which date back to the 1700's. It may be interesting to see if there was any record of her accident in a newspaper from the area. You can do a search of the archives for free, however to view specific articles there is a fee. If you would like to check the website here is a link: http://www.irishnewsarchive.com/
You may also find record of the family in the census records, which you can search here:

Some other website which may prove helpful are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm

I hope that this is helpful to you. Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Kind regards,
