I recently posted a message looking for relatives from County Mayo. My Great-Great Grandfather was James Dunn born approx 1836.He married Bridget Dunlancy[ we thought Dunleavy, but need to amend that] in approx 1858, probably in County Mayo. Bridget was born in 1840.They emigrated to England soon after they were married, settling in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham. Bridgets mother was also called Bridget Dunlancy and she was born in 1821 in County Mayo.According to the 1881 England census James and Bridget had 7 children.James junior was my Great Grandfather and he married Emmeline Armitage in 1893 in Bradford. If there are any relatives of James and Bridget still living in Ireland i would love to make contact.
