Thomas Francis Casey born I think 1895 came to USA to Pennsylvania. One brother James who stayed at home to take care of old folks.  I dont know if he had any children.Looking for any of his descendants.  Two sisters Beatrice and Catherine, who also came to USA. 

Coming to Ireland. April 25, 2013 to visit County Mayo and Sligo. 

Looking for Bridget Elizabeth Sheerans born 1894. Area between Charlestown and Ballyhaunis. Brothers John,Patrick, James and sister Ellen who died young. I was looking to see if there are any children from her brothers. So that I may find their descendants. 

Her father was Michael Sheerans.And her mother Mary Owens. Her grandfather Patrick Sheerans who was married to Ellen Dunlevey.Maternal grandfather Patrick Owens married to Bridget Durkan. 

Hope to meet any of my grandparents descendants on my trip with my family for The Gathering.

I HAVE ONLY JUST FOUND YOUR QUERY BUT I BELIEVE THE CASEY FAMILY THAT YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR IS THAT OF MY GRANDFATHERS SISTER CATHERINE MULLOY WHO MARRIED JAMES CASEY . THEY RESIDED IN CLOONAUGHIL CO. SLIGO. YOU WILL FIND THEM LISTED ON THE 1911 CENSUS AS RESIDENTS OF CLOONLAUGHIL  MISPELT BUT THEY ARE ON THERE.

THE MULLOY FAMILY WERE FROM LAVEY WHICH IS JUST OUTSIDE CHARLESTOWN CO. MAYO. HAPPY HUNTING MAUREEN MULLOY

Have a fantastic time in Ireland and Great luck with finding connections.  I was able to visit Ire in November and discovered a bit of info on my CASEY family in Co Kildare.  My g'grandfather is Patrick CASEY, born in Co Sligo (which we weren't able to visit) and I know nothing of him or my; g'grandmother, Bridget POWEL, also  born in Co Sligo.   I know that CASEY is a very popular name but just possibly there is a connect for us.  If you run across anything that looks posible, I sure would love hearing from you.  Above is all that I know of them re Co Sligo just FYI. (for some reason the computer won't let me paste the info here....)  I don't have a clue as to where Kilfree and Killaraght are (other than Co Sligo) so don't know if these places are anywhere near where your folks were located.

So glad to hear from you.  I was able to come to Charlestown, April 2013.  and meet with Seamus Bermingham. He helped us find James  Casey's home. He was my grandfathers brother. 

James's mother was Catherine Mulloy. 

Do you live in Charlestown  area?

Hoping to come back to visit again. But will not be able this year, hoping for 2015. 

I did know of the Mulloy family , being from Lavey. We met Kitty Walsh (with Seamus's help)

Who told me about them. Perhaps next time I visit I could get to meet the Mulloys.

Hi Mary:

My great grandfather was James Casey.  He was married to Catherine Mulloy. 

My great great grandfather was John Casey. Married to a Jennings. 

I don't know of any Patricks. ( how can that be??) it's Ireland. ;-)

But  I only know of sisters Marie and Catherine of James Casey. There is a brother listed but it is handwritten and looks like James. I don't believe that is correct since that would mean two brothers with the name , James. 

We visited Charlestown, Mayo. In April 2013. Everyone was so welcoming!!
