I believe Tim and Mary may have been married in Glynn in the late 1870s or early 80s and moved to the Doneriale area. Co. Cork They had 3 children, John, Michael and Ellen. They emigrating to the United States with John. Ellen had died but there is no mention of Michael. I am trying to find his family. Any help would be most welcomed. Thank you

Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Do you know when they emigrated? If Michael remained in Ireland you may be able to find him in the 1901 and 1911 census records. These are available to search online here:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
You could also try searching for him at www.familysearch.org . This is a huge database of genealogical information that has been compiled by the Church of the Latter Day Saints. You may be lucky and find a marriage/death record for him, or even a christening record where he is mentioned as a father.
Other than this there are not that many records that are available for this time period apart from parish records. However in order to search these you would probably need specific dates for events in order to be able to find the relevant record. If you are interested in looking at Church records you can find information on Church or Ireland records at http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/. Most Catholic records are held locally, you could try writing to the parish priest for possible assistance.
One website which may be helpful is www.irishgenealogy.ie/index.html Both Catholic and Church of Ireland records from certain areas in Ireland are currently being uploaded here free of charge. Parts of Cork have been added so you may be able to find some record of Michael here.
You could also check for records in the online database of Roots Ireland. However, please be aware that you will have to pay to view records on this site. Here is the web link:

Perhaps you could also contact the heritage centre in North Cork for possible assistance. However, a fee may apply. Here are their contact details:
