Hi, I am trying to find out any family tree information related to William Gorman, born in Charleville, Cork about 1815. I believe he married Caroline Bowman from Ewell, Surrey, they had 5 children and all sailed to Australia in 1854 on Plantagenet. I do not know where he was married or where he lived prior to sailing. I think his parents may be William O' Gorman and Mary Giggins/Goggins. Any information would be much appreciated.

Have you tried looking at Church records in Rathgoggan parish? Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which may be helpful is the Irish Times website where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. Rathgoggan civil parish is part of Charleville Roman Catholic parish. To see what records are available there check:

You could try searching the Tithe Applotment Books for some record of the family. If you can find them in this it will give you where they were living at a specific time. Toy can search these here:
