Have you tried looking at the Church records that are available for the area? Most Catholic records are held locally so it may be an idea to write to the parish priest for possible assistance. You check what records are available there on the Irish Times website here:

Family Search also have some birth and marriage records from the area online. You can search here:

You could also try searching for records at Roots Ireland, however please be aware that you have to pay to use this website. http://rootsireland.ie/

Have you tried looking in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century? There are two:

The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp

and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/     

It may be an idea to look into James and Bartholomew?s emigration also as generally more information was given at the port of arrival. . The Public Record Office of Victoria has good online databases of settlers at www.prov.vic.gov.au
