Thomas F Higins

I and my partner will be arriving in Ireland in early to mid October, 2013. We hope to locate the home site of my great grandfather Thomas F HIGGINS, born in 1836, from Ballintober, Co. Roscommon. Also, my grandfather, Thomas F HIGGINS Jr, born in 1871. My grandfather was about 7 years old when he arrived in the U.S. Any help you can provide as to locating their old property would be wonderful.

Can you provide any other information regarding the family that may help our volunteers? Do you know the name of any family that remained in Ireland after Thomas emigrated? Do you know of any occupations?

I did a search for Higgins in Balllintober in the 1901 census records, some results came back. You may want to look at the results for yourself here:
