I posted my Linden/White message on the County Kerry site but have found new information that my great great grandmother was from County Clare.
Her name is Mary Ann Linden and she was born in 1825. Her mother died soon after she was born and her father left her with her aunt to raise her until she emigrated to the USA alone to marry her beloved Thomas White (1825) of County Kerry around 1846.
Her father left soon after she was born taking the whole family to Rochester NY except for Mary Ann.
I have had help in my research with a third cousin and we have exhausted everything here to find out her parents names or place of birth in Ireland (Clare)
I am hoping that someone can help me.
I will be traveling to Ireland the middle of March and would so love to stand where she maybe stood or to be able to have a name to honor her aunt and/or her mother.
Thank you
Mary Coleman

Hi Mary
Glad to hear you made some progress on finding where your great great grandmother was from. There may be a birth record ( church record) in existence for your great great grandmother however it can be difficult to find if you do not have a place name.
Here are some websites that may be useful to you in your research:http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/
Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.
I hope this information is of some help to you before your visit. We have a new tab at the top of our web page for people that are planning to visit Ireland 2013. If you would not mind taking a couple of minutes to fill it out we would greatly appreciate it.
Kind regards,
