I recently had my DNA analyzed and the results indicated that I do have ancestors from Ireland and I also see this in my family tree work. From what I know, my director Carroll family ancestors are from the 'Cork' area.

I am struggling to find information about the parishes and regions my ancestors are from. I am planning on coming to Ireland in Aug 2013 with my family to visit the areas where the Carroll's and Parkers were from.

Can anyone help me some information?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your message.

Do you have any other information that you can share? Information such as:

?         The forenames of your ancestors

?         What do you know about their emigration?

?         Do you know any important dates regarding the family to help establish a timeframe? Dates such as DOB, marriage, emigration.

    ?         Religious denomination?

Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.

Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

    Kind regards,
