My Grandparents, Michael and Mary O'Toole, born around 1877 in Ireland, came to Pittsburgh in the late 1800's, early 1900's, possibly from Muckanaghkillew. Mary's maiden name was already O'Toole, but was closley related to the Naughton family. Mary's sister Nora O'Toole, came to Pittsbugh first, followed by Michael and Mary. Nora O'Toole lived in Beechview, Pittsburgh, also had a daughter Nora, who married into the Gunshall family. The O'Tooles had other relatives that went to Boston from Ireland. Michael and Mary also had relatives, Cloherty, who resided in Beechview, Pgh., and some O'Tooles who lived in the Nothside section of Pgh.

Michael and Mary first lived in a camp at the point, in Pgh.then moved in with relatives in Beechview. They later moved to Soho, Pgh, buying a home at 2319 fifth ave.

Michael Died in 1934/35  in his 50's    Plumber

Mary Died  in 1948, around age 71.

They had 7 children-----

None of Michael and Mary's children had children of their own, except for Michael (Lawerence)

Michael Lawerence O'Toole married Josephine  Freil, from Butler Co., PA . Born 12/29/29, and Still living as of 12/15/2013

Michael and Josephine had 3 Children, and Lived in Soho and Brookline, Pittsburgh.:

All of the deseased family members are buried at Calvary cemetary in Greenfield, Pittsburgh.

Peter O'Toole, the actor died today, and that got me started looking up info here.

I enjoyed reading your posts, not sure if you still check repsonses.

My grandparents were Michael Naughton and Mary Finnerty from Glantrasna.  They come to the US in the 20's.  My grandfather first went to Minneapolis, finally settling in Pittsburgh.  i would love to learn more and possible meet any realative sthat live in the San Francisco/oakland area.
