Hello from Canada !. I am trying to find info on family tree !! This is what we have researched so far . My great Great Great Grandmother Catherine Fee and her some 300 family members settled in Victoria County Ontario . She married a John Montgomery in 1822 and had land Concession 9 Lot 13 in Emily Township Ontario. John father was a Robert Montgomery first settler from Belfast . They are believed to be from the Fermangh, Antrim ,Down area in Ireland . No records we can find of the ship they were on . Would love to know where , what area in Ireland we originated from !! Montgomery was a major landlord in Fermanagh. Around 1700 one of the Montomery's married Angel Archdale - last of the Castle Archdale family. He changed his name to Archdale and all of his estate on the West/southwest part of Fermanagh became part of the greater Archdale estate, which was originally on the East side of Lough Erne. It was this new Archdale[Montgomery] family who were responsible for building the newer Castle Archdale, remnants of which form part of Castle Archdale Park.
