Researching my GGGrandfather Francis Rogers (Frank) born abt. 1811 in Ireland.
His parents are Andrew Rogers and Mary Lamb. He also had two siblings that I know of, Margaret and Patrick Rogers. I believe he was Catholic and was living in the US by 1842.
He applied for a passport in 1860 in St. Louis, MO so that makes me think he returned to Ireland between the years 1860-1865. I do not find him in the city directory until 1865.
His funeral notice gave only Loughgall County Armagh, no town or village.
I would like to know more about this family.

It may be difficult to find information as there is a limited number of sources available for the time.
The main source is church records, however Catholic records for Loughgall parish only begin c. 1835. You can see this here on the Irish Times website:
Do you know if he married in Ireland before he left? If he did, you may be able to find his marriage certificate in these records. Most Catholic records are held locally so it may be an idea to contact the local parish priest for assistance.
www.familysearch.org have some Irish marriage records available online so you may be lucky and find it here also.
www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Church records available however you have to pay to use this website.
You could also check for record of the family in the land acts pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. He or his parents may appear in the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
You may be able to use the later Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) to see if any family still remained in the area at the time:
