I am interested in learning about the Jeremiah Looney family from Aghabulloge. He was born December 1839 and died 14 March 1907. He married Julia Cronin, who was born about 1838.
They had six children that I am aware of: John (b. 1868), Daniel Joseph, (b.1870), Mary (b. 1873), Jeremiah (b.1874), Julia (b. 1876), Nora (b. 1879), Margaret (b. 1881) and Hanna (b. 1885). All of the children, except John, Jeremiah and Hanna, immigrated to Cambridge, Massachusetts in the United States in the 1890’s. I was told Hanna stayed behind to care for her father and mother and may have operated a tea house in Aghabullogue. She may be buried in Coachford.
I believe Jeremiah’s parents are John Looney (b. 1810) and Mary Minihan.
In the 1901 Ireland Census, Jeremiah was living in the Coolineagh townland, in a home owned by the Murphy family. Then, in the 1911 Ireland Census, with Jeremiah now dead, Julia and Hanna are living with the Murphys in Coolineagh, too.
I believe Julia Cronin’s father was John Cronin (b. abt. 1810) and his wife was Mary Riordan.
Mary Looney married a Michael Sheehan (b. 1863) from Inniscarra. Their marriage took place in the USA. His parents were Michael Sheehan and Ellen "Nellie" Walsh.
Any information about the Looneys, Cronins, Murphys, Sheehans or related family members would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, have you tried looking at records in the parish churches? Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. Is it possible Jeremiah had a brother named Cornelius, or a brother named John with a son named Cornelius? I think we may be distant cousins.
