Who was Dennis McCarthy's mother and father?
Looking for information on my gggrandfather's family. I would like to find the names of his mother and father.
The McCarthy family had the following children and they were all born in Cork Co., Ireland and emigrated to the US. The boys lived in San Francisco, CA
Dennis McCarthy, my gggrandfather, was born
25 December between 1868 and 1871. He left Ireland, landed in Boston, MA (abt 1892 )and ented up in San Francisco, CA, USA where he married on 1 Nov. 1893 to Ellen (Nelli) Powers from Waterford Co., Ireland. They both died in San Francisco, CA USA
Brother: Jerry McCarthy. Do not know anything about him except he was in San Francisco, CA. USA. Never married.
Brother: Michael (Mike) b 22 Feb 1875 Ireland and lived in San Francisco, CA USA. Never married.
Sister: Ellen (Nellie) McCarthy b. May 1867. She came to vist her brother Dennis and returned to Ireland after 1900.
I would love to find out who their father and mother were. Where they lived in Cork Co. and more about the family??

Would be a good place to start. Unfortunately, McCarthys run into the thousands. It is a Herculean though not impossible task to compare all the various baptisms until you find one couple who sired all the named children. The original records in Latin do not show d/o/b.
