looking for james carson and mary egan should be about 1830-1860 may have gone to America before 1870 and are registered parents for a james who came to Melbourne Australia about 1900

Have you tried searching for them on www.castlegarden.org or www.stevemoss.org or www.genealogybranches.com.
To find James baptismal record go to rootsireland.ie and imput just his name and approximate dob. Then gradually refine it to imput his father's name. You should get some info there.
