I am searching for information on my grandmother, Josephine Veronica Healy,

DOB Apr  1905 (?)     DOD 1971 FL USA

Josephine V Healy Ireland County Cork

Unfortunately I did not get a lot of information from my grandmother before she passed away. When my parents divorced we lost all contact with my fathers side of the family.

I believe the Healy family emmigrated to Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ USA. Josephine married my grandfather, Sheldon Stewart Fischer, Sr., in Jersey City, NJ USA 1928.

I remeber visiting Aunt Lillian and Uncle Vic, children Cookie and Patty in Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ. Also Thomas and Gloria, children Thomas and Vicky Lee and Renae husband unknown. I do not know if they were my grandmothers siblings or how they were related. I was also told grandma's mother was referred to as "Big Ma." We were told they immigrated from County Cork, IR.

I have been researching my famly tree for over 30 years. There are over 2000 people on my tree. Grandma LaLa (Josephine V Healy) is my brick wall. I appreciate any and all help/suggestions/comments.

    The 1911 census showed two young Josephine Healys in Co. Cork. One 8 and the other 9.The census records are below. I also found a birth registration index record for a Josephine Healy birth recorded in Cork in the April-June 1903 quarter. You can get the actual record by writing to the GRO see www.groireland.ie You need to provide the quarter/year of registration and the volume and page number.
