Looking for information about Daniel McManamy (or MacManamie) born County Sligo 1798, emigrated to Montreal in 1836. Married Ellen Hart.

The McManamy were indeed well represented in Sligo according to the records from www.rootsireland.ie
Unfortunately the Sligo records only go as far back as 1831.
You might have a better chance if you post on the Sligo board the members there might know more about the local people at the time allthough 1798 is very far back and there was no civil registration in place till 1864 in Ireland.
