My 3x great grandparents (James Loughran & Isabella Mackle) were from County Tyrone. I have them coming from Killdress, although I'm not sure where that info came from. (Possibly just from family stories.) They immigrated to Canada around 1840-41 as it was the story that my gg grandfather, Thomas, was 15 at the time (birth 7 Jul 1825). Possible siblings are Alice, Mary & James or John.
I haven't found any records of any of them until they get to Canada and then on to the USA.
I was wondering if possibly you have a place to look for any of them as I have tried passenger lists, Ancestry, and several other places.
I'm not sure how you pronounce Loughran in Ireland either to know what other "sound" I might look for. ( I found my Sullivan ancestors listed as 'Aullivan's' in a couple records).
Isabella Mackle may have been from Antrim.

Hi there,
most of the church records for ireland are on www.rootsireland.ie . I have done a quick search for james and isabella marriage record but couldn't find it. I found two records of a james loughran married to isabella but the dates are 1888 and 1909 in Co Antrim.
Maybe you need to trawl through this site and see what comes up?
the name Loughran is pronounced Lock ran .
