Your request has been passed on to me and I am delighted to help as Denis O Leary  parents appear on my family records as does Judy Crowe.. One of my relatives also went with the Leary boys to Bullgaden.!!

The townland of Corderry / Cordorry runs along the border of Limerick and Tipperary and in some records comes under the village of Galbally....

I know that Leary's are still in the Aherlow / Galbally region,  . I willl ask if any still live in the townland of Corderry.

I'm so excited to receive your reply.  My favorite part of genealogy is visiting the places where my ancestors came from.  Maybe you'll also be able to help me figure out which Margaret Guiry is my great-great-great grandmother.  I clicked on some possibilities on rootsireland.ie, and here's what I found.

I think this one is the closest in proximity to the Galbally, Bulgaden area, and I hope this is her because then I have another townland.  I haven't been able to find this townland on a map yet, though:

Address:  Kiltankin

Parish/District:  Ballyporeen Parish

Co. Tipperary

Parents:  Thomas Guiry, Maria Power

Sponsors:  Edmund Murray, Hanora II

Notes:  Priest Fr. Bourk.  Check original for mother's surname.

I did a search using these parents and found that this Margaret Guiry has a sister:

Date of Baptism: 23 April, 1826

Address:   Kiltankin

Parish/District:  Ballyporeen Parish

Co. Tipperary

Paents:  Thomas Guiry, Maria Power

Sponsors:  William Cronocan, Maria Molan

Since Denis and Margaret Leary named their daughter Johanna, perhaps this adds to the possibility that this is my great-great-great grandmother.
