Patrick O'Keefe married Margaret Wallace abt. 1836. They immigrated to the USA and lived in New York City. Margaret was born abt 1815. Both were from County Cork.

Hi Any idea where Patrick came from. My ancestor William O'Keeffe, son of Jeremiah was from Dunmore, Co. Cork, he was born about 1808/10. Married at Milford, Co. Cork in 1835 and arrived in Sydney Australia 1839.

I'm afraid I don't know anything else about Patrick. I am working to get baptismal records for the one child, Katherine "Kate" O'Keefe, I am certain was born as issue of the marriage to Patrick and Margaret Wallace, but since I don't know where in NYC she was born, I have to check with all the parishes from 1845. There are no civil records from that time either for her birth or death so I am searching for obituaries for Patrick and Margaret. No US Census records either for this family. But I do not give up hope. Your email made me wonder if there are areas of Cork where the O'Keefe family would have been more likely to live. Thanks for your in-put. All is appreciated. If I learn William is related, I will call you cousin.
