Hello! I have been attempting to locate information on my Dublin line. My ggg-grandmother was Sarah O'Brien, born approx 1840 in Dublin to Murrough O'Brien and Bridget O'Meara. I have been unable to locate her birth record, but I located her brither John in 1850 and her marriage record to Edward McCartin in 1858. I would love to be able to locate her parents' information. The 1901 census advised that she was born in Dublin City. I plan on being in Dublin the last few days of April and would love to be able to locate Murrough and Bridget's final resting place. I believe that I found Murrough in Glasnevin in 1/12/1872, but I can't be sure. I have never been able to locate Bridget O'Brien (nee O'Meara). They lived at 11 Dean Street in 1858.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to go back this spring!

Hi,
Thank you for your message. I am very sorry for the delay in responding to you and I hope that you had a lovely time while you were here!
Did you know that Irish Genealogy have started a project to upload church records to their website free of charge? Only a few counties have been completed so far however Dublin is one of them so you may be able to find records relevant your family. Hopefully you will be able to find Sarah?s birth record and maybe even records for her parents too. You can search these online here:
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/
Also civil registration began in Ireland in 1864 so any births, deaths or marriages in the family after this date would be recorded in these records. You may be able to find a death record for Murrough or Bridget here. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

You can search the indexes to these records online at:
