I know that my family came from county Wicklow in a town called McCreddin and also Aughrim. I am looking for information about James Redmond born in 1791. His wife was Isabelle Sinotte born in 1792. (both in wicklow county)they hada son Patrick on October 3rd 1816 in wicklow county . He came to America at around age 18. I have much info about his mariage, children and death. I can find no info about birth,baptism ,siblings etc in Ireland. I di have information about a brother William as well. They were farmers and am certain were affected duringnthe potato famine. Please tell me how to get records from the church or local historic sites in these towns thank you

Do you know much about their emigration? The dates, the reasonwhy they left, who they may have travelled with?..etc..Generally more information was given atthe port of arrival rather than the port of departure. Thank you so much for the information and sites. I wish I did know more about his departure. I have found his name on several lists of immigration on ancestry.com but there were so many Patrick Redmonds it is hard to know if it was him. If they lived in McCreddin or Aughrim do you know what parish this would be? My mother has traveled there but didi not have this information at the time. I want to visit so badly but want to know where to go before I arrive. It is so beautiful I can't believe living in such a fantastic country. This history is fascinating. I have gone back 6 generations and I am REALLY IRISH! I will hope to use your sites for help. I did find a lot of information about land maps which I did not understand and Patrick and James Redmond were listed in County Wicklow several times. The years were accurate as well.
