My great grandfather Michael Collins was a tailor. He married my great grandmother Margaret Mc Carthy in Abbeyfeale in 1870. I have been to the town twice and have church records. I am looking for information on their sons Jeremiah Collins (horse trainer) who left town after the 1901 census and Michael Collins junior who was in Abbeyfeale when my great grandfather died in the early 1920s. There is also a question that Michael Collins senior was born in Duagh, Kerry and came to Abbeyfeale before he married Margaret. Any information on these questions would be helpful.

Hi Sheila,
Thank you for your message. I hope that someone with information on the two boys makes a connection with you.
Did you know that church records for Co. Kerry have been uploaded to http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ free of charge? Catholic records for Duagh parish start as early as 1819, so if Michael Senior was born there you should be able to find record of it.
Also, you can search the indexes to Irish Civil records up to 1958 online at https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347 Maybe you could try using these indexes to find a marriage or death record, or even possibly a birth record that the boys are mentioned on.
Kind regards,
