Looking for parent information for Thomas Clancy

Greetings from Kildorrery.  I don't know of any Clancys in the parish at present but I will make enquiries and get back to you.

So to do my homework I had to build my family tree. It has emerged that Genealogy amazingly ineteresting scence! Learned many facts about the history of my family.

• UPDATE;
• I recently learned that when witnessing a wedding the maid of honor's name uses her maiden name.  Thomas was married in St Louis, MO in 1873  Anne Clancy was listed as a witness.  Thomas emegrated to the USA in 1848.  If Anne came over at the same time she was probably married at the time.  They were baptized at St Barthomew RC church.  Anne (1829) and Thomas (1834).  Any chance someone could check to see a marriage record exist for Anne?

Bob, I am not a member of the Kildorrery volunteer team but happened to check the Kildorrery boards today. I thought you might be interested in scrolling through marriage records to see if you can find a marriage record for Anne. I usually think of age 20 as a target age to be married so I begin my search when the person would be 16 in case they married younger. If you go to this page: https://registers.nli.ie, a web page will come up that leads you to Catholic parish records held on microfilm at the National Library in Dublin. If you put Kildorrery in the search box, those parish records will come up. You can then search the marriage records. Good luck.

My ancestors also came from Kildorrey.

I have looked at the baptism register and John Clancy and Johanna Murphy and found 6 baptism entries in the Kildorrey Roman Catholic register
