It is with great interest that I read about the Reaching Out project in the Skerries News dated July 15, 2012. I am from California and am related to the Alexander and Jane McKibben mentioned in the article. My great-great grandmother was Mary Jane McKibben, sister of the Alexander McKibben mentioned in the article, daughter of Alexander and Ann McKibben. Mary Jane emigrated to San Francisco, California, and married Sylvester Moore, Jr., formerly of Balbriggan, Ireland. My husband, sons, and I will be visiting Ireland from June 9-22. We will be visiting Balbriggan, Skerries, and Balcunnin with an Irish cousin on the Moore side in June 11 and would welcome any information on the McKibbens. Please contact me at jswiens@comcast.net.
