Looking for information on a William Fulton and Jane McClarren, they apparently lived in Sixmilecross area. They are my 4thgreat-grandparents. I have listed that William had a brother John b. abt1773. John immigrated to Belmont Co., OH US about 1820. John married Isabel Wright.
William and Jane married about 1798 and had William, Isabel m. Robert Walker, Robert m. Mary, Mary m a Campbell, Nancy m. a Brown, and my Charles b. Dec 1813 Aughnagar m. Jane Reed Brown in 1836 Pomeroy. All but Robert, left Ireland.
I have a letter from Robert Fulton to Charles Fulton dated 1882. Robert was living in Baronaugh with his wife Mary, their children: William m. abt1879 Margaret Anne Clarke, Sarah m. Wm Gibboney, Robert m. Jane Dunlop, and James. Robert was writing about Charles' son a Presbyterian Minister, Rev. James McFarland Fulton, visiting and preaching in several area churches.
My 3rd great grandfather, Charles Fulton and Jane Reed Brown immigrated to Belmont Co., OH 1837...they attended Presbyterian Church and Charles was a shoemaker, bringing his tools with him.
I think William Fulton and Jane McClarren died in the area of Sixmilecross, but have no further info on them. Any help would be most appreciative.

Below are the 1901 census records for James and William Fulton in Baronagh townland. Their father Robert was still alive at 93 and living with James. Both families were still in Baronagh in 1911. You can check out their records at www.nationalarchives.ie Looks like Robert died in the summer of 1901. If you want a copy of his death record, you can write to the GRO www.groireland.ie Fill out their form, provide the quarter/year of death, registration district (Omagh) and the volume and page number. I can't help with info on William and Jane.

The Griffiths revaluation records show that Robert Fulton acquired the farm in Baronagh sometime between 1860 - 1863. He had plot 13a which was a farmhouse, outbuildings and c 41 acres. There?s no date against his arrival but the book only covers those years. Effectively it remains in his name till 1883 when it changed to William Fulton.
I noticed that in 1883 James Fulton acquired the adjacent farm, plot 14, which had about 24 acres.

Both these farms are on the modern Baronagh Rd, about 5 miles south west of Omagh. Easy enough to locate to day should you wish to do so.
I note from the 1901 census that they are Church of Ireland. Perhaps therefore you need to consider whether William Fulton & Jane McClarren might also have been COI.
People weren?t, and still aren?t, always buried in the graveyards of the church they attended (eg if they had a family plot somewhere else) and many Presbyterians were buried in Church of Ireland graveyards (that harks back to the times when few Presbyterian churches had graveyards and so they used the ?state? ones instead).
